Natalie Behm is the QA Director at MicroWorks, Inc. She has been an integral part of the MicroWorks team since 1999.
Her education includes a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
Natalie has over thirty years of experience in the Microbiology field. She started at MicroWorks in a consulting role and moved into the laboratory as the Quality Assurance Director. She has created and supported the Quality Systems for the laboratory. Natalie’s project experience with MicroWorks includes set up and management of cleaning validation programs for several companies, IQ/OQ/PQ protocols for a variety of laboratory equipment, re-qualification of clean rooms after major renovation, authoring Standard Operating Procedures for environmental monitoring and other microbiological testing, auditing microbiological laboratories, consent decree remediation, and much more.
Her microbiology career started at Silliker Laboratories in positions including Laboratory Supervisor, and Special Projects Manager. Her experience at Silliker included supervision of the testing of food samples for foodborne pathogens, setting up shelf-life and challenge studies, coordinating testing for clients, and much more.
In 1993, she moved into the pharmaceutical industry, working for both Fujisawa, USA and Centeon Pharmaceuticals. At Fujisawa, Natalie performed numerous method validations, performed microbiological sampling for cleaning validation, supervised the environmental monitoring group and finished product group, managed raw material testing for release and supported new product development. At Centeon, Natalie was in charge of an extensive documentation control system.
